Job Description
EAP is seeking a reliable and hardworking Construction Worker to join our team. The successful candidate will assist with a variety of construction tasks on job sites, including building structures, demolishing buildings, preparing work areas, and maintaining tools and equipment. This role requires physical stamina, attention to safety, and the ability to work well as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Load and unload construction materials and move them to job sites.
- Operate hand and power tools such as jackhammers, saws, drills, and compactors.
- Assist with framing, pouring concrete, roofing, drywall installation, and other construction activities.
- Erect and dismantle scaffolding, barricades, and temporary structures.
- Follow blueprints, drawings, and written or verbal instructions.
- Maintain a clean and safe job site, removing debris and hazardous materials.
- Assist skilled tradespeople such as electricians, carpenters, and plumbers as needed.
- Report equipment or safety issues to supervisors.
- Adhere to health and safety regulations at all times.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent (preferred but not required).
- Proven experience as a construction worker or in a similar role is a plus.
- Familiarity with construction tools and equipment.
- Ability to lift heavy materials and work in a physically demanding environment.
- Strong work ethic, punctuality, and teamwork skills.
- Knowledge of basic safety standards and willingness to follow them.
